The Collection

Four finished designs on the same platform, arguing four different cases. Every one is a 1994 to 1996 BMW K1100 reduced to an empty frame and rebuilt by hand. Commission one as drawn, or bring us the version of it that only you can describe.

Why the K1100

The flying brick was always a cafe racer waiting for permission.

BMW laid the K series four on its side and ran it front to back, which gave the motorcycle a low centre of mass, a completely flat top line and an engine that is genuinely beautiful once you stop hiding it under plastic. From 1994 the K1100 carried 1092cc, sixteen valves and a chassis that still holds a modern road at a modern pace.

It is also, at this point in history, the last great unexploited BMW platform. Airhead prices went where airhead prices went. The K1100 is a better machine than its reputation, and there is nothing else on earth that looks like it from the side.

Four builds per year

Take one as drawn, or start the fifth.

These four are open designs, not a catalogue. Most clients begin with one of them and end somewhere entirely their own.
